Boiler Servicing In Cardiff & South Wales

A gas boiler is the heart of any central heating system, annual boiler servicing is an important part of making sure it is running safely and efficiently. It is also a condition of a newly installed boiler, so you will need to make sure your boiler is serviced annually to make sure the warranty is valid. 

 

We recommend each boiler whether the boiler be one or ten years old, to be serviced annually to pick up on faults or minor repairs. When carrying out a service we ensure that all gas pressures are correct, there aren't any boiler defects, the combustion casing seals are intact and that the flue is correctly installed and is positioned in accordance with manufacturer's instructions. 

 

If your boiler is not checked annually you could put yourself and or your family at risk. Boilers can be deadly appliances if not installed correctly or are not burner complete.

Boiler Servicing FAQs

  • How much does a gas boiler service cost?

    The cost for a boiler service is just £75.00 + vat, based on South Wales locations.

  • What is included in the boiler service?

    For just £75.00 + vat you get all of the following included in your boiler service.

    • We'll inspect your boiler and controls to make sure they're working and functioning properly.
    • We'll check your boiler for corrosion and leaks.
    • We'll check the gas pressure, and gas rate the boiler.
    • We'll test the flue using a gas analyser, to make sure the boiler is running safely and efficiently. 
    • We'll pop the casing back on and check the seals.
    • A digital Gas Boiler Service Report (PDF) will be sent via email with a checklist of information about your boiler's service. If further parts or cleaning is required, a price and information of this will be sent to you in the email
    • We keep back-ups of all reports for 12 months and can re-send at any time free of charge.

  • How do I book a service?

  • Will I get a Gas Safety Certificate?

    No. But you can add a gas safety certificate on, whilst we are carrying out a boiler service for a combined cost of £120.00 + vat.

  • What days/times do you carry out boiler services?

    Our engineers work Monday to Friday from 8am to 4.30pm. The exact time of inspection will be confirmed after booking.


    We work on a minimum basis of 2 days' notice to book a service but this depends on engineer availability.

  • Will you send me a reminder when the next service is due?

    Absolutely! We send out annual reminders when your next service is due, to ensure your boiler stays safe.


    Annual legionella report reminders are sent 2-3 weeks before the renewal date, via email, text and a letter.

  • Terms & Conditions of our boiler services

    * The price of £75.00 + vat does not include a back boiler and fire service, please email us for a quotation if you have a back boiler in place.


    * The price of £75.00 + vat does not include any parts needed for any rectification works that may arise on a service.


    * If there is an issue with the heat exchanger that becomes apparent on the service, this would involve a seal kit which we would then quote on separately to the initial service.


    *All additional works/parts will be quoted on before anything is carried out.


    *If the boiler is found to be unsafe we will isolate the boiler issue a warning notice, advise on the necessary works required to rectify the issue. There will still be a charge for this of £75.00 + vat

How Worcester Boiler Replacement Works

  • 1. Comprehensive Quotations

    We will be than happy to contact you and provide you with a free quote and as a Worcester Accredited Installer we can offer the extended guarantees. All detailed quotations are send via email within 2 working days on completion of site visit and can also be sent via post if requested.

  • 2. SEDBUK A rated boilers installed

    The Worcester Bosch Greenstar range of boilers is one of the most specified due to the reliability and the fact that they fall into SEDBUK A RATED range, meaning that your new boiler will use less energy. Generally, these boilers are over 90% efficient.


  • 3. Magnacleanse flushing of the existing system

    All worcester boiler installations come with a standard magnacleansing flush of your central heating system, free of charge. This is to ensure the terms and conditions of your guarantee are met to avoid any problems with water PH amount, should a Worcester visit be needed within your guarantee.


  • 4. Worcester boiler registration

    Every boiler installation gets registered with Worcester Bosch, directly through their online registration portal, to avoid any problems with posting of the registration card.


  • 5. Notification to Gas Safe on completion

    Once your system is installed, by law, we must self-certify the work to the local authorities via GAS SAFE. A letter of confirmation is then sent to you, from them confirming the installation meets current legislation.                              


Power Flush

Are your radiators slow at heating up? When they heat up are they cold in places? Sounds like you need a central heating system flush.


TS Heating & Plumbing uses a powerful Kamco power-flushing machine on all of our power flushing jobs.

Powerflushing is an effective technique to keep your radiators working efficiently. During a powerflush, water and cleaning chemicals are pumped through your radiators at high pressure which flushes out any build-up and dirt that is causing a blockage within you central heating system.

 

As well as removing sludge, powerflushing will add special inhibitors to your system to prevent future corrosion within it.

After flushing your heating system, you will feel heat effectively circulating around every radiator in your home. Your central heating system will operate more efficiently, which will in turn save you money on your heating bills. It could also save you the time and potential money spent on central heating repairs.


On average the process usually takes around 6-7 hours from start to finish, but this does depend on the size of the system and type of central heating system installed.
